शून्य बजट प्राकृतिक खेती

Zero Budget Natural Farming was developed by Subhash Palekar in the mid-1990s in Maharashtr. Zero budget natural farming totally depends on natural resource and chemical is totally avoided.

In zero budget farming sowing to harvesting cost is zero because external input such as pesticide, fertilizer etc. totally avoid. The farmers income is increased with the help of ZBNF’s and it is guidance towards sustainable farming methods that help to maintain soil fertility, productivity, assure chemical-free agriculture, and ensure a cheap cost of production (zero cost).

Zero budget natural farming is eco friendly and create sustainable environment in soil and local areas. So it’s as good agro-ecology model for sustainable point of view.

Component of ZBNF: - These are mainly four.

Jeevamrutha: -

Jeevamrutha is mixture of liquid natural organic fertilizer. It is prepared with mixing of water (200 lit.), cow dung (10 kg) and urine (10 lit.), Pulse flour (2 kg) and jiggery (1 kg) properly for one acre. After that keep this solution for fermentation purpose for 7 days. Shake the solution regularly three times a day.

Bijamrita: -

Bijamrita is used for seed treatment purpose. Because seed treatment is necessary for protect seed against diseases and insect attack. It’s prepared with water (20 lit.), cow dung (5 kg) and urine (5 lit.), lime (50 gm.) and clay soil (50 gm.) for 100 kg seed treatment.

Acchadana/ Mulching: -

apply any covering material such as crop residues, plant leafs, organic debris etc. on soil top surface is known as mulching. Its help full for soil and water conservation, increasing water holding capacity and humus level in soil.

Moisture/ Whapasa: -

soil moisture percentage (50%) maintained is very important because plants root required lots of water in this condition mulching is also very helpful and mulching also maintained aeration percentage (50%) in the soil.

Principles of Zero budget natural farming:-

These are following

  1. Using Suitable crop rotation.
  2. Seed treatment with the help of microbial.
  3. Using Mulching for weed control and soil temperature management with the help of create suitable micro climate.
  4. Select mix cropping system.
  5. No external input applies.
  6. Integration of livestock and other system in farming.
  7. Soil inoculation with the help of Microbial for maintains soil health.

Benefits of Zero Budget Natural Farming:-

These are following

  1. In zero budgets natural farming initial cost is reduce.
  2. Improve soil physical and biological condition and also increase micro organism activity in soil.
  3. Improve Soil Structure and organic matter percentage in soil.
  4. It is improve soil fertility and productivity.
  5. It improves soil water holding capacity and control soil erosion.
  6. It is control disease and insect attack on crop with the help of crop rotation.
  7. Farmer income increase automatically.
  8. External input such as fertilizer, herbicide, fungicide etc. is not required.
  9. Zero budget natural farming protects the environment against chemicals input effects.
  10. Increasing water infiltration rate in the soil as a result soil water table increase.
