DWRB.137: Barley's high productive, anti yellow-rustic and six-line new variety जौ का उपयोग प्राचीन समय से ही भोजन एवं पशु चारा के लिए किया जाता रहा है । पुरातन समय मैं जौ का उपयोग योद्धाओं द्वारा शक्ति विकास एवं पोषण के लिए किया जाता था । वर्तमान मैं भी जौ की फसल एक बहुविकल्पीय फसल है क्योंकि यह अन्य रबी खाधान्नों की अपेक्षा कम लागत मे तैयार हो जाती है एवं यह लवणीय और क्षारीय भूमि एवं शुष्क क्षेत्रों के लिए भी वरदान है। जौ के निरंतर प्रयोग से  यह एक औषधि का भी काम करती है और इसके रोजाना उपयोग कुछ बिमारियों जैसे मधुमेह, कोलेस्ट्रोल मे कमी एवं मूत्र रोग मैं फायदा होता है । जौ के उत्पादन को बढाने और रोगरोधिता को उन्नत बनाने के क्राम मैं भारतीय गेहूं एवं जौ अनुसंधान संस्थान में संकरण विधि (डी.डब्ल्यू.आर.बी.२८/डी.डब्ल्यू.आर.यु.बी.६४) द्वारा जौ की उच्च उत्पादक, रोगरोधी किस्म डी.डब्ल्यू.आर.बी.137 को तैयार किया गया है । यह किस्म अत्याधिक उत्पादक एवं पीला रतुआ के लिए रोधी होने के साथ-साथ इसकी दाना गुणवत्ता भी अच्छी है । इन्ही गुणों को ध्यान मैं रखते हुए डी.डब्ल्यू.आर.बी.137 को 56 वीं गेहूं एवं जौ कार्यशाला की बैठक मे चिन्हित किया गया ।   तत्पश्चात सी वी आर सी की ७९ वीं बैठक मैं गज़ट नंबर १३७९ (ई) दिनांक २७ मार्च २०१८...

डीडब्लूआरबी 123: NWPZ के सिंचि‍ंत क्षेत्रों मे समय पर बुआई के लिए दो पंक्ति माल्ट जौ की नई कि‍स्‍म  DWRB123 (DWRUB54/DWR51) is a two-row malt barley variety, which was released for irrigated timely sown conditions of North Western Plains Zone (NWPZ). The variety was identified for during 55th All India Coordinated Wheat and Barley Workers’ meet held at CCSHAU, Hisar during 21-24 Aug. 2016. DWRB123 was subsequently released and notified by the “Central Sub-Committee on Crop Standards, Notification and Release of Varieties for Agricultural Crops (CVRC)” vide Gazette Notification S.O. No. 1007 (E) dated on 30th March, 2017 for irrigated timely sown conditions of North Western Plains Zone (NWPZ). DWRB123 was tested at multi-locations (26)over three years with two-row malt barley checks viz. DWRUB52, DWRB92, DWRB101, RD2849 and six row feed barley check BH902 under barley coordinated yield trials. DWRB123 depicted average grain yield as 4870kg/ha (mean of 26 trials over 3 years), whereas the elite malt barley checks DWRUB52 and DWRB92 depicted grain yield 4530 and 4510kg/ha, respectively. DWRB123 exhibited yield superiority for grain yield over two-row malt barley checks DWRUB52 (7.5%), DWRB92 (8.0%), RD2849 (4.6%), DWRB101 (0.8%) and six-row check BH902 (8.3%), respectively. डी.डब्लू.आर.बी. 101: सिंचि‍त क्षेत्र एवं समय पर बुआई के लिए माल्ट जौ की उन्‍नत कि‍स्‍म। DWRB101 (DWR28 / BH581) is a new malt barley variety, which was developed using pedigree method at DWR, Karnal. The variety was identified for irrigated timely sown conditions of North Western Plains Zone (NWPZ) during 53rd All India Coordinated Wheat and Barley Worker’s Meet held at JNKVV, Jabalpurduring 22-25 Aug. 2014. DWRB101 was tested at a total of 31 locations with four checksviz. DWRUB52 and DWRB92 (both two-row type) and K 551 and BH 902 (both six-row type) under coordinated evaluation trials. DWRB101 exhibited average grain yield as 5010 Kg/ha (mean of 31 trials over 3 years). DWRB101 depicted superiority in grain yield over two-row malt barley checks DWRUB52 (6.6%), DWRB92 (4.8%) and six-row checks K551 (15.2%) and BH902 (7.7%), respectively. In agronomical trials, at recommended N dose, the proposed variety DWRB101 showed numerical superiority for grain yield over both two-row malt barley checks i.e.  DWRUB52 (6.88 %) and DWRB92 (1.86%), respectively. DWRB101 is erect type in growth habit with mean maturity of about 132 days and having average plant height of 97 cm. Spikes are erect, tapering type in shape with rudimentary lateral florets. Grains are bold with medium hard texture, oblong shaped and yellow in colour with 46.9g 1000 grain...
